"Casio Blaster" and "99 Mistakes" are 1000names and are both Dj’s from Sofia. They started to play together at the end of the 1990's, when they discovered the original hip-hop culture and began to make beats. The process always involved a lot of sampling and the recycling of all sorts of music. Casio has played drums all his life with different jazz and funk bands. 99 has been involved in many art projects in the last 7 years.
Since 2003 they are Dj’s in local clubs mashing up everything from old school to soul. They have created their own style "eklekto hip-hop". Breaking the beat is their ultimate goal..

Really nice cross section of tracks - have playlisted Rhythmatic Train Behaviour and Distant Call so they'll get played on the AIR FM show in the next weeks.
(Black Athena – Various Greece/Athens)

Thanks for this one. I like the mixture of street beats and blippy music here.
(Nico De Ceglia - Codex + various venues/Radio 1/Rivmixx.com/TheHospitalclub.com – Various UK)

(Martyn Flyn – FineArt/LuckyMe/The Blessings – Various Scotland)

Very Prefuse 73 sounding experimental some cool moments here..Like Distant Call or Puppies best.. Pretty experimental to play out cold use radio etc..
(Freddy Fresh – Various Worlwide)

'This is cool. It sounds a lot like it was made in the last 12 months but is not derivative of the sound that is so popular just now. A good release that will get some plays for sure. Most likely radio or warm up stuff mind you but plays none the less.
(Boom Monk Ben - Solid Steel / Mixed Bizness – Various UK)

Is it me, or is everything off kilter at the mo'. Hating out of the way, i like this, as it still has that groove in there...maybe i'm just getting old, but i still like that head nod factor.
I'll be keeping an eye out for these guys.
(Profisee – Cloak n Dagger/The Ivy/Lucky me – Various Scotland)

Cool samples spotted some bay city action in there.....
Anyway... liking the tracks rockin on the radio for me.
(Craig Harrop – Yo Mofo – Various Sheffield)

Very interesting productions indeed...good stuff.
(A La Fu- VaVa/Big Dada Records/Sub Club, Glasgow/Various worldwide)

Certainly interesting beats, but I think it doesn’t stand out from the myriad of such material that is circulating online, I do think roccin on your radio has something unique though, that for me is doing it.
(2Tall – Rhythm Incursions/Eclectic Breaks – Various Worldwide)

Good leftfield tackle...good stuff, will support.
(Paddy Freeform – Universal Vibe/Herbal/Big Chill – Various UK)

Like this stuff, wierded out hip hop on the glitchy tip. Puppies and Rhythmatic train behaviour are the best out of these three. Bizarre vocal sample on puppies.
(One Deck Pete of One Deck & Popular- Steroid Abuse, Steroid in Stereo, Vibe Ba – Various UK)

Definitely music for smokey evening...All the tracks are heavy but Distant Call steals it for me, pure twisted filth.
(Rob Pollinate - SQUARED°/Pollinate Records/The Dogstar - Various London)

Like it but not playing it.
(Rob Smith – Smith & Mighty – Various Worldwide)

Yep really into this label,. & definitely feeling these guys, all tracks are strong.
(David Spencely – Root Elevation/Sir Vinyl - Various UK)

Rhythmatic Train Behaviour - Love this! Played it on my last radio show. Sounds like they've used a bit of Al Green's vox. Nice ruff production. great guitar licks. Roccin On Your Radio - Good amount of squelch and wobble on this one. Not too keen on the vocal sample though. Puppies - Nice heavy sub on this. Great spoken word samples. Funny ending. Distant Call - Super disjointed beats & samples on this. Can't imagine many dancers getting up to this. I like their style. Loved the remix on the Eklektic2sides vol3. looking forward to hearing more.
(Bootsy - For The Love/ My House your house – Various UK)

Hot producers, I’ve been on them since the Beatnick 12”s. Wicked.
(Oli Marlow – Fabric/Matter Radio/Various – UK)

Roccin On Your Radio is some fly shit. Thank you.
(Jamie Vex’d – Planet Mu/Various – Worldwide)

After days of endless noisy remixes AYK comes correct with good stuff. 1000 Names is wicked, full support from the Pirates on this one. Distant Call and Puppies are my favourites. This is the futures bump that we are getting down too.
(Patchwork Pirates – Fabric/Cargo/Dazed & Confused/Various – Worldwide)

Both tracks "Rhythmatic Train Behaviour" &"Puppies" are nice.
"Rhythmatic Train Behaviour" is bluesy and funky and Puppies is jazzy hip hop will be fit in japan.
(Toshio Matsuura – RBMA/UFO/Various – Japan)

Because playin with fingers and the head is what kids do the best, 1000names just show us with that album; that playin music is a game and that u can have fun with it, and keep a serious awesome style with! Big up to the tough guys from the mountains!
(Fulgeance - Musique Large/All City/One Handed/Nerdbeat - France)

I've been playing "Rhythmatic Train Behaviour" for nearly a year... HUGE tune!! Also loving "Distant Call" - both are on next week's show. Really looking forward to hearing the LP.
(Simon - www.basic-soul.co.uk/Various - UK)

Absolutely love this new stuff from 1000 names. (Mr Beatnick – shhhhh/Altered Vibes/Various – UK)

Yes bruv, feeling this, on a first listen Distant Call & Rhythmatic Train Behavour coming up trumps, really getting into this kinda thing. You heard of Stevo? And Onra from France? Similar kinda steez
(Disorda – Suspect Packages/333/Various – UK)

Big! Definitely my kind of choons. Love how they blend detroit hiphop and detroit house on “Rhythmatic Train Behaviour”. Almost Moodymannish. Big up for this one!
