With the addictive freshness of his sound and dense stream of productions, it's easy to get the feeling that he's a new player on the scene, but YoggyOne (who hails from Besançon, France) already had his fill of music experience before finally landing in the beat game... At the age of six, he entered the music academy, where he remained for about a dozen years, then traded in his alto violin for a drum kit (in a funk band) and tried his hand at other brass instruments as well. Quite rapidly, his self-taught philosophy and insatiable curiosity would lead him to venture
further from well-travelled paths. He followed the evolving new beat generation with great enthusiasm, deep in the early days of Indie labels Anticon, Def Jux, Stones Throw, artists like Antipop Consortium, Lex or Dimlite. Current influences include Shuggie Otis, Herrmutt Lobby, Muhsinah, Ad Bourke, John Robinson, Flying Lotus, Hearin Aid... Not only limited to his main weapon of choice, the MPC, this prolific pluri-instrumentalist can be heard remixing artists like As Everything Goes...

Off-kilter beat madness from the ever-impressive French label.
(Lefto – Brownswood/Various – Belgium)

This is quite interesting and quite well done too.  Wouldn't play Electric Bird but maybe Harder & Harder...
(Hobbes - Trouble DJs/ Various - UK)

Eklektik delivers the goods YET again - I just wish all EPs were as good as this!
(Simon Harrison - Basic Soul Radio/ Samurai FM - UK)

Really interesting stuff. This is a great combination between dope beats, soul and dubstep. Will play on the radio love that stuff.
(Laurent Garnier - PBB Radio/ Various - Worldwide)

‘Electric Bird’ - I really like this although it’s kind of text book APC or Prefuse. Still very funky and dirty. ‘Harder & Harder’ - deep and soulful... really nice. ‘Shivers’ is great, a real blacksploitation vibe to it. ‘Sonozoide’… badass again. This is a top EP. I prefer the more experimental elements... good work and good luck.
(DJ Toob/ Red Snapper - Various - UK)

‘Electric Bird’ heavy broken beat/ dubstep/ hip hop; a little to dark for me, but great sound. Loving ‘Harder & Harder’: leftfield wonky hop, sweet sex vocals, will be giving this one some serious spins.
(DJ Guy C/ Gorillaz Sound System/ Various - Worldwide)

Will use for our syndicated programming.
(Steve O’Connor - Station Manager, Ministry of Sound Radio – UK)

Off-kilter beat madness from the ever-impressive French label. Another excellent EP on EkleKtiK. I really love their sounds, played a couple of tracks off this on my last show.
(Paul Boots/ Bootsy - For The Love Radio/ Your House-My House/ Various - UK)

An interesting EP that will certainly get played in more in down tempo gigs. ‘Shivers’ and ‘Electric Bird’ work best because they keep the shell of a conventional song structure and dynamics, but place accents and sounds in jarring positions, juxtaposing a more conventional song structure with Yoggyone' s off-centred parallel approach which gives the track resonance.
(Craig Jaimeson – Modern Lovers, The GRV, Various - Edinburg UK)

Electric bird is thumping, like the vibe (like he's juggling the one's and two's at some points). I be diggin' the left-hop which still has some head nod in it's DNA.
(Nike Oruh aka Profisee - The Ivy/ The Arches/ Lucky Me - Scotland, UK)

Good shit - checked out the 2 tracks then grabbed the whole EP. Thanks.
(Danny Delta - Headshell/ Substance/ Various - UK)

Didn't even see that Yoggyone til now, feeling the funked-up ones on this: ‘Shivers’, and ‘Harder & Harder’ for the house, and Electric Bird for the club; but not too fussed on the others to be honest.
(Kaptin ‘The Chrome Kids’ – BBC Introducing/Various - Wales)

This is very nice, will fully support on freestyle blend radioshow/ podcast...
(Paddy Freeform – Universal Vibes - Worldwide)

Yeah, nice wonky pressure! A grower!
(Dave Spenceley - Sir Vinyl of the Fattest/ Various - UK)

Solid set of tunes… ‘Harder & Harder’ is my pick from these - best beat and the addition of ‘Kissey’ really makes it fly. Elsewhere ‘Preparation’ and ‘Shivers’ and strong tracks like the vibe of ‘Shivers’.
(DJ Stoaty - The Tuesday Club/ Various - Sheffield, UK)

'Preparations' and the track featuring Kissey Asplund have been playlisted, played out etc.
(Black Athena - Greece)

Like a couple of the tracks on this. Played the track with Kissey Asplund on the show last week.
(Kev Beadle – Solar Radio – UK/ Worldwide)

Great E.P. Yoggy killed it for sure... track with Kissey Asplund is dope.
(Cornelius Keyloid – Musique Large / Various – Italie)

Nice electronic glitchy-beaty vibes from Yoggyone. A bit too bonkers for these mature lugs at times but overall it does work. Nice for early/chilled sets.
(One deck & Popular - Steroid In Stereo/ Steroid Abuse/ Vibe Bar - UK)

me guest spot too. DOPE.
(Kid Kanevil - 1st Word/ Doctors Orders - UK) Gerard Roberts

Like it. Will play on the radio tomorrow. ‘Shivers’ is my pick.
(Ben Morris – Kudos Records - UK)

Like this and will support. Thanks.
(Robert Luis – Tru Thoughts Radio/ Juice Fm/ Various – UK)

Thanks for this, Electric Bird is the real standout for me - reminded me of Tipper's downtempo output
(James Anderson ‘Shuffle’ – Mother Bar/ 93ft East/ Various – UK)

This is cool, been playing electric bird this week- solid release
(Fineart - The blessings/ Luckyme - Scotland)

Two cool tracks.
(Nico De Ceglia - Codex & various clubs/ Radio 1 - UK)

Thanks for the YOGGYONE EP. Very interesting to say the least! ‘Harder & Harder’ is the track that is shaking my tree. A fine slice of future soul.
(Ashley Beedle - Xpress 2/ Kiss FM/ Various - Worldwide)

Feelin this! More top notch stuff from Eklektik! 7/10
(Ross Wakefield/ Part Time Heroes - Hideout Sessions/ Vibe Bar/ Mode Productions/ Koko - UK)

B-side wins again (if there is such a thing these days).  Was a bit luke-warm on the first track but the Kissey Asplund thing is absolutely brilliant.  Love it.  Just grabbing the rest of the EP to check out now...
(Chris Read – Substance/ 1Xtra/ Headshell/ Ministry of Sound – Worldwide)

Best track - 'Electric Bird'. 'Some nice off kilter drums and bass wobbles. His sound is very 2009 and I am going to keep my ears and eyes open for future stuff from Yoggyone.'
(Boom Monk Ben - Mixed Bizness/ Solid Steel/ Sub Club & Art School - UK & Europe)

Harder & Harder’ Ft Kissey Asplund: Like the downtempo feel of this. Great vocals, love the keys providing a running water sound. A great summer feel. I think I will use this on the show this week.
(DJ Kappa – Music for Adults/ Reverb FM - Brighton)

Cool promo... eklektik on it innit.
(Mathieu Schreyer - KCRW/ Various - USA)

Like ‘Electric Bird’ & the mixture of sounds.
(Rob Stereo MC’s - Snowbombing/ Fabric/ Various - Worldwide)

Interesting crazy production, but not really my thing.
(Dj Session – 333/Secret Wars/Various – UK)

Likey likey...
(Disorda - Suspect Packages Ltd. - UK)

‘Electic Bird’ is the kiddy, loving the percussion and the jazz touches. Will be playing a track off the EP on the show this Saturday.
(James Barrie - Global SoulJah Scanner 96.6FM - Barcelona)

Sounds great! Will play ‘Electric Bird’. The other one - though I really like Kissey Asplund, this is not the best track I've heard.
(DJ Quest - Estonian National Radio/ Raadio2/ hiphop.ee/ Check One Two/ Club Prive – Europe)

Helsinki got your back! Second track with Kissey Asplun is a definite killer.
Will definitely play them out in the radio and DJ gigs. Freshhhh!!!
(Dj 3rrd - Basso Media / Basso TV / Basso Radio 102mhz – Sweden)
